The Torrington Historic Preservation Trust is a 501(c)3 Not-For-Profit organized in 1982 for the purpose of promoting, assisting and carrying out the preservation of historically significant structures in the city of Torrington.
The Preservation Trust was founded in 1981 to preserve Torrington’s historic buildings and places and to educate the community about their significance. Over these many years the Trust has created four historic districts, published surveys of hundreds of historic properties, and has been a steadfast advocate for historic preservation in Torrington. More recently, we have acquired Skee’s Diner and have been working to restore the diner so that it can be returned to service. |
