Learn How To Turn Historic Industrial Buildings
Into Opportunities For Economic Redevelopment!
This symposium will provide town officials, developers, historic preservationists, and property owners with a better understanding about programs and strategies that are available for the redevelopment of historic mills and factories.
The sessions will include information on the financial
aspects of this work including grants, tax credits and
other incentives to turn these underutilized historic
buildings into community assets.
Keynote speaker, Charles Bartsch, is a brownfield
specialist (he coined the term "brownfield" in 1992)
and senior advisor for Economic Development at the
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Over the past 20 years Bartsch has focused on

strategies and financing.
He is recognized as one of the nation's leading experts on these issues.
